8. Address Book

You can save the mail addresses frequently used into address book. These are sometime called nicknames. Musashi supports hierarchical address book.






8-1. Address Book Editor

You can manage an address book using Address Book Editor. To browse Address Book Editor, select Edit Address Book... from Options menu.




8-2. Using address book

The address book consists of address entries and address groups. An address entry is corresponding to each mail address. An address group include address entries. It is possible to define address groups in an address group.

[Creating groups and entries]
Click New group... (New entry...) button on Address Book Editor. Or select New group... (New entry...) from Do menu. You can save comments (e.g. company name and a telephone number) for address entries other than mail address.
Do not use colon (:), at mark (@) and perios (.) in group name and entry name. And do not use blank character for the beginning and the last of a name.
To save address book, select Save from File menu or command -s .

[Renaming group and entry]
By selecting a group or an entry and then click Rename... or select Rename... from Do menu, you can rename a group and an entry.

[Deleting groups and entries]
By selecting groups or entries and then click Delete... or select Delete... from Do menu, you can delete groups and entries. In case that the group to be deleted includes some groups or entries, they all will be deleted.

[Save sender in Address Book]
You can save mail address of a person who send message to you. Select message in the list of Message Viewer, and click Save sender in Address Book... button.
